An extended meeting of the advisory body (Board) of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia was held today under the chairmanship of Committee Chairman Artur Nahapetyan.
During the meeting, among other agenda items, the Chairman summarized the results of 2025, referring to the increase in proceedings referred to court during the past year, the recovery of damage caused to the state, and the extensive work carried out in detecting complex and high-profile corruption-related crimes. He also addressed the challenges facing the institution, which require continuous and targeted solutions.
The Chairman presented performance indicators demonstrating certain progress in the detection of corruption crimes, while emphasizing that, in light of current challenges, these results may be assessed as satisfactory, but not yet good.
With the objective of surpassing the previous year’s indicators, Artur Nahapetyan outlined the Committee’s priorities for 2026, including:
The Deputy Chairpersons of the Committee also presented the 2025 performance results of investigative and operational-search units within their respective areas of coordination.
During the Board meeting, a swearing-in ceremony was held for newly appointed employees of the Anti-Corruption Committee. The new staff members took an oath to faithfully serve the people of the Republic of Armenia, strictly uphold the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Armenia, protect human and civil rights and freedoms from corruption-related criminal encroachments, and contribute to fostering zero tolerance for corruption in society.
For high performance demonstrated in 2025, the Chairman awarded certificates of recognition to the best-performing employees and units of the year.
In particular, the Department for the Investigation of Corruption Crimes Against Property (Head of Department: Davit Kostandyan) and the First Division of the First Operational-Search Department were recognized as “Best Unit.”
The title of “Best Investigator” was awarded to Senior Investigator Vahe Martirosyan of the Department for the Investigation of Corruption Crimes Against Economic Activity, while the title of “Best Employee” was awarded to Operational Officer Anushavan Aghajanyan of the First Operational-Search Department.
For significant professional achievements and high levels of expertise demonstrated during their service, several employees were awarded medals by the Chairman of the Committee and granted early class ranks.
The Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee congratulated the award recipients and the newly appointed employees, wishing them strong will, the highest sense of responsibility, and dedication in achieving further success in the fight against corruption.
