As a result of measures carried out by officers of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia, factual evidence was obtained indicating that a representative of the “Strong Armenia” Party, together with other persons, provided electoral bribes to citizens of the Republic of Armenia residing abroad and arranged for their transportation to Armenia on the condition that they vote in favor of the party in the National Assembly elections.

Within the framework of the criminal proceeding initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee in connection with the case, a number of procedural actions have been carried out, and motions seeking detention have been submitted to the court.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
