As a result of measures carried out by officers of the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, factual data were obtained indicating that several residents of Ararat marz had demanded electoral bribes from representatives of the Masis community office of the Strong Armenia Party in exchange for voting in favor of the said party in the National Assembly elections and recruiting supporters.

A criminal proceeding has been initiated by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee in connection with the incident. Several individuals have been detained, and procedural actions have been carried out.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
