Within the framework of the criminal proceeding related to electoral crimes uncovered by the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia, factual evidence has been obtained indicating that several Armenian citizens working abroad were subjected to coercive efforts aimed at influencing their participation in elections. Specifically, it was established that individuals engaged in business activities in the Russian Federation, exploiting the financial dependence of a number of Armenian citizens employed abroad, together with a supporter of the “Strong Armenia” Party and other persons, prepared to arrange the transportation of those citizens to the Republic of Armenia and compel them to participate in the National Assembly elections and vote for a political party designated by them.

The Anti-Corruption Committee calls upon all citizens, including Armenian nationals residing abroad, to strictly comply with the requirements of electoral legislation, refrain from any unlawful influence on voters’ free will, and avoid actions that may disrupt the normal conduct of the electoral process.

The Committee assures the public that all information received will be subject to comprehensive and thorough verification and that all measures prescribed by law will be undertaken to ensure the full disclosure of criminal offenses, regardless of where they were committed or who may be involved.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
