As a result of measures carried out by the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia and the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, factual data were obtained indicating that persons appointed as responsible officials at the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district office of the “Strong Armenia” Party, by prior agreement with supporters of the said party and a group of persons cooperating with them, promised and also gave electoral bribes to voters.

Criminal proceedings were initiated at the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia in connection with the incident. A number of persons were detained, searches and other procedural actions were conducted.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
