As a result of measures carried out by the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia and officers of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, factual data were obtained indicating that a candidate for deputy from the “Prosperous Armenia” Party, together with supporters of the same party and other individuals, provided electoral bribes to a number of residents of Vayots Dzor marz in exchange for voting in favor of their party in the National Assembly elections; in addition, supporters of the aforementioned party materially incentivized a number of residents of the same marz to participate in a rally organized by the party in Yerevan city on 4 June 2026.

Within the framework of the criminal proceedings initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia in connection with the incident, several individuals have been detained, searches have been conducted, and other procedural actions have been carried out.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
