As a result of measures carried out by officers of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia, factual data were obtained regarding cases of electoral bribery provided by the father of a candidate for deputy from the “Strong Armenia” Alliance of Political Parties on the condition that persons vote in favor of the said alliance in the National Assembly elections, as well as cases of providing material incentives for participation in a gathering.

Within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated at the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia in connection with the incident, a number of persons were detained, searches and other procedural actions were carried out.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
