Within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated at the Anti-Corruption Committee on the basis of measures carried out by the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia and the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, factual data were obtained indicating that a supporter of the “Prosperous Armenia” Party, together with other persons, provided electoral bribes to a number of voters in Ararat marz on the condition that they vote in favor of their party in the National Assembly elections.

Criminal proceedings were initiated in connection with the incident; about a dozen persons were detained, and searches were conducted. 

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
