As a result of operational-search measures carried out by officers of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia, factual data were obtained indicating that the head of the office of the public organization “Our Way” for the Preservation of National Values provided electoral bribes to a number of eligible voters in exchange for voting in favor of the “Strong Armenia” party during the National Assembly elections.

In addition, from the date the decision calling the National Assembly elections entered into force until the summarization of election results, the same person, under the guise of charity, gratuitously provided money to a resident of Yerevan who is an eligible voter to cover the cost of a surgical operation.

A criminal proceeding has been initiated at the Anti-Corruption Committee in connection with the incident. Several individuals have been detained, searches have been conducted, and other procedural actions have been carried out.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
