The Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia Has Revealed Cases of Offering and Receiving Electoral Bribes, as well as Materially Incentivizing People to Participate in Rallies

As a result of operational-search measures carried out by officers of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia, factual data were obtained indicating that the territorial coordinator of the “Strong Armenia” party in Baghramyan community of Armavir marz promised and provided electoral bribes to a number of voters in the same community in exchange for voting in favor of the party.

In addition, the same person ensured the participation of several residents of Baghramyan community in the party’s meetings by materially incentivizing them.

A criminal proceeding has been initiated at the Anti-Corruption Committee in connection with this fact. Several individuals have been detained, searches have been conducted, and other procedural actions have been carried out.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
