Within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated at the Anti-Corruption Committee on the basis of measures carried out by officers of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia and the Vayots Dzor Marz Department of the Criminal Police, factual data were obtained indicating that a supporter of the “Strong Armenia” Party, together with other persons, provided electoral bribes to a number of voters in the Jermuk community of Vayots Dzor marz on the condition that they vote in favor of their party in the National Assembly elections.

Criminal proceedings were initiated in connection with the incident. A number of persons were detained, and searches were conducted.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
