As a result of evidentiary and other procedural actions carried out under the criminal proceedings examined in the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia, it was established that an employee of Ashtarak Regional Center of the Unified Social Service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia assisted in the receipt of bribes of various amounts by officials by removing obstacles.

In particular, the preliminary investigation revealed that the above-mentioned employee of the Unified Social Service, during a medical and social examination organized in the same regional center in September 2024 by the members of the commission for the illegal action of assessing the degree of functional limitation of several citizens higher than 25 percent, provided for by the relevant decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, demanded and received various amounts for the purpose of transferring them as a bribe to officials.

The above-mentioned employee of the Unified Social Service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia was charged with aiding and abetting bribery under Article 46-435, Part 2, Clause 3 (3 episodes) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. Charges were also brought against the citizens who gave the bribe.

The preliminary investigation under the criminal proceedings has been completed, and the materials of the proceedings have been sent to the Anti-Corruption Court of the Republic of Armenia with an indictment.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
