As a result of evidentiary and other procedural actions carried out under the criminal proceedings examined by the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia, it was substantiated that the person who held the position of head of Hartagyugh community of Lori marz between 1996 and 2021 illegally alienated a land plot of 1.11035 hectares of agricultural purpose with a market value of AMD 10,000,000 located in the same community, to his son.
In particular, it was found out that the above-mentioned community head, violating the public bidding procedure prescribed by law, formally organized and held a formal auction-sale of the above-mentioned land plot on May 6, 2019, in the absence of his son, with the assistance of 5 members of the auction committee, as a result of which his son was recognized as the winner. After that, the latter submitted the necessary documents to the RA Cadastre Committee, and his ownership right to the said land plot was registered.
The former head of Hartagyugh community was charged with abuse of official authority and official forgery under Article 308, Part 2 and Article 314, Part 1 of the former Criminal Code of the RA, and his son was charged with Article 325, Part 1 of the same Code. Charges were also brought against the 5 members of the auction committee who assisted the community head.
The preliminary investigation against the 7 persons mentioned above, including the former head of the community, has been completed. The materials of the proceedings, along with the indictment, have been submitted to the supervising prosecutor with a motion to approve it and send it to court.
