Water patrol officers of the Patrol Service of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia have drawn up 37 false reports. Criminal proceedings have been sent to court.

Water patrol officers of the Patrol Service of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia have drawn up 37 false reports. Criminal proceedings have been sent to court.

The preliminary investigation under the criminal proceedings carried out in the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia based on the materials received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia revealed numerous cases of drawing up false reports on administrative offenses by water patrol officers of the Patrol Service of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. In particular, it was established that a water patrol officer of the Patrol Service of Gegharkunik marz, with the purpose of ensuring a positive performance indicator for himself, drew up 23 false reports on administrative offenses in 2024-2025 with a single intent. In addition, two more water patrol officers of the above-mentioned marz, also with the purpose of ensuring a positive performance indicator, from January 2024 to March 2024, as well as in April 2025, drew up a total of 14 false reports on administrative offenses, which were immediately recorded in the database.

The above-mentioned three patrolmen were charged with official forgery under Article 445, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The preliminary investigation under the criminal proceedings has been completed, and the materials of the criminal proceedings have been sent to the Anti-Corruption Court of the Republic of Armenia with an indictment.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
